Have you ever wondered how the art of trickery can make someone wholeheartedly believe something untrue? Have you ever considered the fate of those who fall for the scam? If you answered yes, this story is for you, my friend. I’ll tell you a tale about a poor bunny tricked by a goose. The trickster appears to be friendly, smart, and entrepreneurial, leading the bunny to believe he could get rich fast. The goose spun a story about a magical fountain, hidden in a faraway land, that turns silver into gold. Believing her promise of riches, the bunny gives away all his savings, dreaming of prosperity. When the bunny tells his friends about his mystical investment, the owl and eagle see red flags! Determined to help, the eagle takes flight, darting through the forest to stop the trickster. Along the way, the animals learn valuable lessons about trust, critical thinking, courage, and the importance of speaking up when something does not feel right. Will they catch up to the goose before it’s too late? Fraudster in the Forest is inspired by the author’s work fighting financial crime. The eagle in the story is a tribute to their Albanian heritage. Albania is known as the “Land of Eagles.” With delicate rhyme and memorable animal friends, this heartwarming story teaches children the art of discernment and the invaluable role wisdom, community, and kindness can play in our lives. |
